THE LAST OF US PART II - AN HONEST REVIEW (SOME SPOILERS AHEAD)

First thing first, I have played and finished the whole game in case y'all wondering. It is much better to finish something rather than to judge it really early just like what I did before, and I'm truly sorry about that. Again, this is based on my honest opinion about this game. If you like it, it's okay, if you don't like it, it's okay. Enjoying things is subjective. So, here is my very honest review. After the long wait, THE LAST OF US PART II finally arrived on June 19, 2020. The part two itself is continuing the journey of Ellie and Joel in order to survive the post-apocalyptic world caused by Cordyceps fungus. As many of you noticed that this game divided the critics and the audience. The critics loved this game so much, but the audience’s reception was very bad. This due to leaks that revealed the controversial route of its plot. Fans and gamers were disappointed and angry because of this decision that the developer took. It also led peopl

The Neighbors’ Window – Review + Analysis

Couple weeks ago, I started to watch short films on YouTube for inspirations. Fortunately, I stumbled upon this one. The title itself, well, explains the whole theme about this short feature. The Neighbors’ Window is a short film written and directed by Marshall Curry. The premise is about a story of Alli (played by Maria Dizzia), a mother of young children who has grown frustrated with her daily routine and husband (played by Greg Keller). But her life is shaken up when two free-spirited twenty-somethings move in across the street and she discovers that she can see into their apartment. This short film was uploaded on 22 December 2019 on the director’s YouTube channel, and it was scored with some accolades like winning an Oscar for Best Short Film. The presentation is quite simple. No grandeur storyline or set. Just a simple apartment, two different families, that’s all! I can say that there is nothing astonishing in term of technique. But what makes it interesting is the soc

SET MY HEART ON FIRE IMMEDIATELY by Perfume Genius - Review

So, long story short, I discovered this artist right after listening to Chromatica. I have never heard or this artist nor known his discography before. It just suddenly played randomly on my Spotify. The first song that I heard from this album was “Jason” which storyline in the lyric is really captivating. So, I checked his project and here I am! From the album title itself, I was kind of guessing that I would be having a melancholic trip, complex concept about love and life, and I would be crying. Just shove them all up to my arse! The album opens with “Whole Life”. This track is a baroque-pop with rock influence song. As an opening for the album, It already hooked me into the world of this album. As he sings “half of my whole life is gone”, it is really haunting yet it is dreamy. It has cinematic and nostalgic sound, forced me to play supercut of memories on my mind. His voice and the song production truly remind me of Bobby Vinton and his songs. Then the next song “Describe

CHROMATICA by Lady Gaga - A Review

First things first, if my friends didn’t tell me about her upcoming album, I would probably be missing out because I haven’t heard another Lady Gaga album for a long time. The last time I heard her was from her Applause era if I’m not mistaken and her contribution in A Star is Born. And that’s all. It was 2 AM on May 29, and I didn’t sleep because I had to give finishing touches to my thesis. Then, I opened Spotify to see her on the headline “Chromatica is out now!”. Of course, I was intrigued to listen her newest album. For the people who followed me on Twitter, I’ve been bopping and enjoying her new album so far. So here’s the review. Chromatica truly reminded me of her previous records with more to EDM which I think that genre is not as big as it was right now. Maybe it is her intention to bring the nostalgic vibe from the previous decade. This album has 16 songs divided with three interludes (OH I LOVE ALBUM INTERLUDES SO MUCH). In my opinion, if an album divides with inte
